A world in which a McDonald's cheeseburger was large, cheap, and satisfying and the burgers you go to great trouble to grill in your backyard taste like.... well, like McDonald's burgers in our world. Or microwave cheeseburgers. And they're much worse for you nutritionally.

Now think about, in this world, how gratifying it is to grill your own. While your neighbors look over the fence and mock you for going to much more trouble to have something less satisfying and sensible.
