WoD第6シリーズ『Hunter: The Vigil』は、8月に基本ルールが発売され、以後5ヶ月にわたって5冊のサプリメントが出て完結するようだ。いまのところ判明している内容は以下の通り。

What happens when a human being realizes that there truly are things in the shadows that prey on him, his friends and his family? What does it mean for that modern day person and what did it mean to humans throughout history? Some hid, some pretended that nothing was wrong- and others watched, and learned, and waited for their chance to strike back. And some looked for help in all the wrong places, as desperate people often do.

• Quickstarts（体験版ルール＋シナリオセット、おそらく今年6月のFree RPG Dayで配布される）
• 基本ルール（今年8月、おそらくGenConで発売）
• Vampireハンター本（V:tRとクロスオーバー設定）
• Werewolfハンター本（W:tFとクロスオーバー）
• Mageハンター本（M:tAwとクロスオーバー）
• 『Slasher』（仮題、詳細不明）
• 題名不明のサプリメント（2009年秋発売予定、詳細不明）
• ボードゲーム（2008年後半発売予定）
• SAS製品（詳細不明だが、H:tVの内容をサポートするものになるとのこと）

Hunter: The Vigil は、旧WoDの Hunter: The Reckoning からの予想や既成概念を大きく打ち破ると同時に、H:tRファンにも納得のいく設定になるとのこと。ディベロッパーはWWのベテランライター Chuck Wendig。
